INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
Innovation is the engine of modern economies. Protection of industrial properties refers to intangible (intellectual) assets other than artistic, scientific and literary works. It is aimed to ensure that pioneers in a particular field are entitled to benefit from their creativeness prior to other market participants.
Inventive projects include: inventions, utility models, industrial designs, topographies of integrated circuits and rationalisation projects. A rationalisation project refers to any usable solution which is not a patentable invention, utility model, industrial design or integrated circuit topography.
Types of provided protection:
- in case of inventions - patents and other protection rights,
- in case of utility models and trademarks - protection rights,
in case of industrial designs, topographies of integrated circuits and geographical indications - registration rights.
